1. What’s your least favorite trope when it comes to book relationships?

BREE: Ooooh, this is a hard one. I think the misunderstanding trope irritates me the most. Like, the solution to all their problem is common sense and communication. How do you mess that up?

TREE: SO MANY. But my two main ones are; over domineering guys and when consent isn’t clearly spelled out.

2. What’s your favorite trope when it comes to book relationships?

BREE: I really enjoy when two oblivious friends get together. Relationships built on friendships are the absolute best.

TREE: One of my favorites is any time two characters have to go on a road trip. Bonus points if they hate each other in the beginning and have to share a bed at some point.

3. What’s your favorite ship?

BREE: Let me just stick with the classic ship of Percy & Annabeth from Percy Jackson & the Olympians.

TREE: This is an unfair question because I literally change my favorite ships so frequently. At the moment I would say Jasmine & Ivan from From Lukov with Love because I just reread it and I love them so much.

4. What’s a ship you’d like to third wheel with and why?

BREE: It has to be Levi and Cath from Fangirl, of course. I mean, free coffee and the ultimate soft boii? Consider me down.

TREE: Isn’t reading a little like third wheeling? But, I guess I would like to hang around Cath & Levi from Fangirl because they would keep the PDA nonexistent.

5. What ship that ended are you still mourning?

BREE: Uh, uh, uh. I can’t really remember any off the top of my head. Let me check my bookshelves…I guess Kat and Frosty from the White Rabbit Chronicles? I’m sure there are others that are just slipping my mine right now.

TREE: To be honest I don’t have an answer for this one. I’m sure there was one in the past, but probably blocked it out. I don’t have time for negative energy (which is why I avoid ship wars like the plague).

6. Who was your first book crush?

BREE: I want to say Percy Jackson, but really I vaguely remember it being Cam Fisher from The Clique series. (Don’t judge me. I was young and impressionable.)

TREE: Michael Moscovitz from the Princess Dairies books. He was just so dreamy and TBH I still love him. I can’t write what I really want to because of spoilers but in Forever Princess the dude made my hear skip like three beats multiple times.

7. Who is your most recent book crush?

BREE: Uh, I guess it would have to be Owen Okita from Always Never Yours. To be honest though, no one can ever really surpass my long-term book crush, the one and only, Percy Jackson.

TREE: *Checks books I’ve read recently* Okay. It has to be Ivan Lukov. I tried to pick someone from a book I read for the first time, but NO ONE COMPARES.

8. Which book do you want to see adapted to TV/movie?

BREE: I think either The Bone Witch trilogy by Rin Chupeco or the Zodiac series by Romina Russell would make a really good fantasy/sci-fi TV show.

TREE: I would love to see The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren turned into a movie. I just finished an arc of the book and this would be an ICONIC rom-com. It’s hilarious and I laughed out loud multiple times.

9. What character(s) have broken your heart?

BREE: Too many too count, man. *sniffles*

TREE: I don’t like spoiling people with stuff like this but I’ve been hurt before!!

10. Do you prefer the characters get together real quick? Or slow burns?

BREE: I mean, slow burns are so much more satisfying when they finally get together. I usually end up shrieking into my paperback once it happens.

TREE: I love slow burns, but if they get together quickly I like it better when the characters have known each other for awhile.

11. Do you have a type when it comes to your ships?

BREE: It’s all about the sarcasm and soft boiis™ for me. Oh, and anything that makes me want to smoosh their cheeks together with my hands.

TREE: I love nerdy guys, witty girls, stupid jokes, and all the soft boys.

xoxo, Bree & Tree
