I saw this tag on Sarah @ Book Hooked Nook‘s page. She is the creator of this tag and check out her post here!
I was not tagged, but this looked like fun!
Hit Rewind: a book you go back to again and again?
So many. I love the Scorpio Races (I can’t wait to listen to the audiobook in November), The Hating Game, Just One Day has so many memories associated with it, and Daisy Jones and the Six. Also, the Cormoran Strike series, but I mention those later on so pretend you didn’t read that.
Romantic Ballads: a book that gives you all those fluttery feels?
Wait for It by Mariana Zapata. This slow burn is extra slow, but the payoff is so worth it. Honestly the slow burn is so slow that a wink made me swoon.
Release Radar: a new release book you are excited for?
I am eagerly waiting for Capturing the Devil, the fourth and final book in the Stalking Jack the Ripper series. I have been a fan of this series since it released and I am so proud of Kerri and can’t wait to see my faves. (Audrey Rose & Thomas forever)
Discover Weekly: a book you haven’t read yet but want to discover?
There are so many books on my TBR which I want to read asap. Heretics Anonymous by Katie Henry, Frankly in Love by David Yoon, Ruth Ware’s books, and The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis.
Alone Again: your fave book genre to read on your own?
(Not entirely sure what this means) But, my go to genres in general are romance or contemporary or contemporary romance.
Alternative: an indie book or author everyone should read!
I really love Jennae Cecila’s poetry. Her latest, Losing Myself Brought Me Here, really spoke to me
Cheesy Hits: a book full of cheese that you just love?
Three Little Words by Jenny Holiday. This series is cheesy in that it is romantic and a bit cliche at times, but it was so much fun. Although, this is probably the least cheesy of the series. I have a review for it here.
Summer Hits: a book you re-read every summer?
I don’t really have books I reread during every season. But I reread the Cormoran Strikebooks this summer via audio and it was the best. I also watched the show and omg I would die for Robin & Strike.
Power Hour: an empowering feminist book or character you adore?
I love me a strong female character. Which is ironic because I can’t think of any right now. But, I really enjoyed Cecile Richard’s memoir, Make Trouble.
All Out 10’s: list ten banging books!
There are so many types of books I could list here, but I am going to try to list some books I love that I don’t talk about much. Some of these are books I read along time ago and some are more recent reads that I have enjoyed.
The Gallagher Girls Series by Ally Carter
Don’t Date Rosa Santos by Nina Moreno
The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson
The Airhead Series by Meg Cabot
Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton
The Queen’s Rising by Rebecca Ross
Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu
North of Beautiful by Justina Chen
All American Boys by Jason Reynolds
Thanks for reading!
