BLOGTOBER DAY SIX: The Halloween Book Tag

We found this tag on Sofi’s blog, A Book. A Thought, but it originally came from Book Adventures, which seems to have been deleted.

Favorite scary, must-read for Halloween?

Bree: Um, I’m not really a fan of scary reads, but I recently reread I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga, but that’s YA.

Tree: I would recommend Ruth Ware’s books. Even if they are not the scariest, but her writing is addicting and it is easy to fall into her books. (Even if you are not the biggest scary book fan, like me).

Scariest book cover, like ever?

Bree: The Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children covers always creeped me out a little bit.

Tree: ALL THE YA BOOKS WITH THE BOOK SNAKE. I am phobic of snakes and I hate this trend.

If you could go trick-or-treating with any author, who would you pick?

Bree: I feel l like Leigh Bardugo would have a wicked costume.

Tree: I just want to hang out with Roshani Chokshi so sure, lets go trick-or-treating.

If you could dress up as any bookish character for Halloween, who would you be?

Bree: ANY character? Well then I’d have to pick either Astrid from the How to Train Your Dragon series, or Jude Duarte from The Folk of the Air series by Holly Black. Gotta go elaborate while I can.

Tree: Anything that would allow me to wear an over the top dress. Let’s say America Singer from the Selection Series.

If you could find anything (from any book) in your trick-or-treat stash, what would you hope to find?

In what fictional world would you like to go trick-or-treating?

Bree: Maybe the neighborhood from The Candy Shop War. I mean, who can say no to magical candy?

Tree: The only world that I would elect to actually go into is the Wizarding World.

What book villain would you not like to meet alone in a dark alley on Halloween?

Bree: Justin from The Flatshare lol

Tree: Any villains with magic because then I can’t run away.

Would you rather dress up as a vampire, zombie, werewolf, or shadowhunter?

Bree: Shadowhunters are badass. Plus, temporary tattoos are fun.

Tree: A Shadowhunter because I like wearing all black

Pick a candy (just one) from Harry Potter that you would love to find in your stash? [edited to add – we do not support JKR due to the harm she is causing the trans community with her transphobic rhetoric]

Bree: Probably a  Chocolate Frog.

Tree: Chocolate Frog

What is your favorite Halloween candy?

Bree: I’ll trade anything for Kit-Kats or Gummies.

Tree: Kit-Kat or Sour Patch Kids

xoxo, Bree & Tree
