WEEKLY TAG: WWW Wednesday

Between book tags and book reviews, I’m a little burnt this week. So, I thought that a reading up dates would be a nice of change of pace.

This tag hosted on Taking on a World of Words, and it’s super easy to do. Just answer the three W’s.

The Three W’s are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Currently Reading:

This nonfiction read is weirdly relative right now with everything going on. The first chapter of The Multi-Hyphen Life focuses on how the job market is constantly shifting and changing. Yet we are prepped through life to only consider following “traditional career paths,” even though those are a diminishing in the modern workplace. Enter the “multi-hyphen life” concept, where you diversify your time, take on multiple titles, and hustle to the end goal. So, far I am enjoying the read, but I feel like the content would have been much more earth-shattering to me 4 years ago, when I wasn’t [unknowingly] already living a multi-hyphen lifestyle.

Just Finished:

Written in the Stars was a pretty cute f/f romance, with lots fun banter and a bunch of P&P references strewn about. Both sets of parents suck, but Margot (Elle’s best friend) gets a gold star!  I’m planning on writing a mini review of this for our ARC August Wrap Up, so I don’t want to give away too much.

I am beyond hyped for Rory Power’s sophomore novel, Burn Our Bodies Down. I’ve now read Wilder Girls twice (review here) and I’m finally in to mood to dive into this one. I wanted to wait til the end of the month to pick this one up, because I have a feeling it might slightly traumatize me into a book slump. BUT RORY IS WORTH THE SLUMP, KAY? And ARC August is almost over, so now a book slump seems less damming.

Happy reading! What are you binging?

xoxo, Bree

    1. I guess it depends on what kind of books you like. It was really cute and fun, but not especially deep? Tree & I are both planning on writing mini-reviews of it for our ARC Aug wrap ups, which will be up this week!

      xx, bree
