So, I haven’t done a solo Top Ten Tuesday in a while and I thought this would be a fun prompt to attempt. Honestly I think I only found like 13 titles that fit this prompt (that I’ve read in the last 3ish years), so this is less of a “top ten” and more of a “wow I actually managed to find ten!” And as always, they’re not listed in any particular order, just the order I found them in. (Which in this case is most recently read to least recent.)
The Top Ten Tuesday tag is hosted by Jana, @ThatArtsyReader, and you can find the upcoming prompts here. Today’s prompt is “Books with Numbers in the Title.“
1. When No One is Watching by Alyssa Cole
I picked this up because Tree is such fan of Alyssa Cole (see Tree’ review here) and I was intrigued by the “gentrification is the truest evil” idea behind this thriller.
2. One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston
I finished this as part on my ARC August TBR. I was cute and angsty, and I enjoyed the sci-fi aspect of the plot. (mini review here).
3. One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London
Another book I read because Tree couldn’t stop talking about it!! (Find her review here.) This was such a good twist on the Bachelor/Bachelorette
4. Heartstopper: Volumes One, Two & Three by Alice Oseman
NICK & CHARLIE!! NICK & CHARLIE!! NICK & CHARLIE!! I love them so much!! These graphic novels are truly some of my favorite reads of 2021. I wrote a whole review of just me screaming about how much I love all the characters.
5. One by One by Ruth Ware
I love me a Ruth Ware book! Honestly, she’s the only mystery/thriller author on my auto-read list. Her books never disappoint and they’re always just creepy enough. See my review for One by One here.
6. Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo
WHEN WILL ALEX STERN RETURN. WHEN WILL WE KNOW WHAT HAPPEND TO DARLIGNTON. THE AGONY PERSISTS. I ready for my galactic baddie to return. Would also love to know if this series was ever confirmed as a duology or…???
7. One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus
Honestly I remember nothing of this book except it was a wild ride. I binged it hard and gave it 5 stars. Everything else went out the mental window.
8. Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot
Love Meg Cabot!! I’m currently in a series reread of Heather Wells books, so I technically could have listed book 2, Size 14 Is Not Fat Either.
9. 10 Blind Dates by Ashley Elston
I absolutely loved this book. I even wrote a whole review for it! I really enjoyed the whole chaotic countdown to Christmas with Sophie’s whole family getting in her dating business, and planning blind dates for her. Very cute!
10. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
Absolutely loved this, and Crooked Kingdom. I am very excited for the Shadow & Bone show, and I’m interested to see how these characters are weaved into that story.
What numbers seem to be haunting your shelves?? I seem to have collected quite a few ‘ones’.
xoxo, Bree
