Book Tags, Bookish Tags

BOOK TAG: The Blogger Stats Book Tag

Tbh I am not entirely sure I haven’t done this tag before…but, since it’s pretty relevant to what you’re reading now I figured it was fine if I had done it before.

I saw this tag on Cozy with Books’ page. Check out their post here

Also, I’m going to real with you all, I am not the biggest fan of the cover image I created, but I’ve been having wrist pain and am just not creatively motivated right now so it’s just going to stay like this for now. Thanks for clicking on this despite the bland cover image!!

LAST THREE BOOKS YOU READ

We Are Inevitable by Gayle Forman, Pride & Prejudice (reread) by Jane Austen, & Miracle Creek by Angie Kim. All solid reads and two of them (P&P and Miracle Creek were for book clubs).

SPOILERS OR SPOILER FREE

I’m not a big fan of spoilers as a reader. I don’t even like knowing major plot points. As a reviewer, we try to keep spoilers to a minimum, but sometimes it is hard to talk about a book without talking about major plot points.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BOOK BLOGGING

Since the end of 2018. I just looked and my first review was for From Lukov with Love which is still one of my favorite books. Check it out here. Also, it seems like it is almost impossible for me to make it though a book tag without mentioning this one and I’m not mad about it.

A BOOK YOU READ IN ONE SITTING

It’s been a second since I did this, but I think I read People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry in one sitting. See my review here.

People We Meet on Vacation

PREFERRED BOOK SIZE (Novella, Tome, Etc.)

I like a good 300 – 400 page book. I struggle with novellas since they are typically too short for me to get invested (unless it’s a companion novella to a series I’ve already read. I just read Missing Christmas by Kate Clayborn which is a quick novella in her Chance of a Lifetime series, but follows new characters and I did enjoy it.

AMOUNT OF BOOKS ON YOUR TBR

Please don’t ask me this.

A BOOK YOU DNF’D

I haven’t DNF’d anything for a few months, but I did DNF the first Spindle Cove book and it made me sad to DNF a Tessa Dare book, but I got about 70 pages in and just didn’t care.

A Night to Surrender (Spindle Cove, #1)

RECENT AWARD OR MILESTONE

Not going to lie, I don’t really track any of this sort of stuff. I am happy that Bree and I have been consistently blogging for three years. It’s been cool seeing our style evolve and coming up with creative posts together.

BEST INTERACTION WITH AN AUTHOR WITH ENJOY

I recently shared an IG reel for The Love Hypothesis (check it out here) and the author commented on it which was lovely since it took forever to make. Also, the last time I met Leigh Bardugo I was getting books signed for someone else as a gift and she personalized one of my books even though she was only personalizing one book per person. It was very sweet of her.

AVERAGE NUMBER OF BOOKS YOU READ PER MONTH

I’ve been reading a lot of graphic novels which boosts that number up, but I would say I almost always read more than 10 books a month.

TOP THREE PUBLISHERS

I don’t really pay attention to which publishers are publishing which books unless I “work” with them as a bookish influencer. So  I’m only listing one. This isn’t really based on their books, but I love working with Forever Publishing. My most recent read by them (which I loved) was Rosaline Palmer Takes the Cake by Alexis Hall.

SOCIAL MEDIA SITES YOUR BLOG USES

I use Twitter, Instagram, and now Pinterest for various bookish purposes!

My Twitter: https://twitter.com/TreeReads_
My Bookstagram: https://www.instagram.com/treereads/
My Pinterest: (Which I currently can’t remember the password to so I haven’t logged in in about a week): https://www.pinterest.com/treereadsbooks/

AVERAGE AMOUNT OF TIME YOU SPEND NETWORKING

I hate networking so no time spent on this. At least on purpose.

MOST COMFORTABLE BLOGGING POSITION

I never sit in comfortable positions while blogging. Sometimes I sit in my bed which isn’t too bad. But, often I am hunched over my desk.

MUSIC OR QUIET WHEN WRITING REVIEWS

Always music or podcasts sometimes.

CAN YOU SUM UP YOUR BLOGING STYLE IN 5 WORDS

Chaotic. Fangirl-y. Messy. Passionate. Funny (I hope).

A BLOG YOU LOOK UP TO STARTING OUT

I don’t remember, but I do love PaperFury’s blog (and her Instagram).

BEST BOOK YOU REVIEWED SO FAR

I’ve read a ton of really good book since starting the blog, but probably my favorite has been Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid. In part since I read an early copy and was able to read it before most of the hype, but also because I’ve reread it many times since I originally posted this review

BEST PIECES OF BLOGGING ADVICE

I am unsure if this is the best blogging advice I have been given or my own advice. The only blogging advice I really have is to create posts you are excited about. I’ve done some posts that have done well in terms of views or likes or whatever, but I had a fun time making them so that’s all that matters.

I didn’t tag anyone, but if you want to do this tag feel free to tag me in your answers!

xoxo, Tree
