I actually started this post last week, but as an avid reader, the finished list is almost entirely different than the line up of the original one. I’d still like to mention how much I enjoyed my read of the second book in the Modern Faerie Tales series by Holly Black. The trilogy is currently providing a balm to the wait for her next work, Book of Night (May 2022).

Currently Reading:
I’m very close to the end of Carry On by Rainbow Rowell Cather Avery. It’s so clearly inspired by another Chosen One Boy Wizard, at first it was kind of a slap to the face? But then the character writing excels and traps you into rooting for them. But Baz carries this entire book and it immediately improved when he appeared on the page. I am a #1 Baz stan I guess. Can’t wait to find out how this wraps up…or does it?
Just Finished:
I recently picked up and finished The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Each book in this series drives me to the absolute edge. The plot, the mystery, the Hawthorne boys!! How will it all end?? I certainly have no clue, and I definitely have zero idea what the third book, The Final Gambit, will be about. So, I’ll just be here anxiously awaiting a synopsis drop for book three!!
Up Next:
Since anyone who read Fangirl knows the events of Carry On were supposed to be the final ending/wrap up to Cath’s entire fanfic, I’m interested to see what will happen in the sequel book, Wayward Son, and how that will all play out in reference. Anyways, excited for more Baz content! We love a snarky bad boy.
