This fun book tag popped up on my Twitter feed many moons ago, but today seemed like a good day for it. I found this book tag through Witty and Sarcastic Book Club, but it actually originated on A Books Neverland.
What’s My Age Again – Blink 182
At what age did you discover your love of reading?
I remember picking books out at the library and reading them all in elementary school, but the first time I lost myself in a book was when I picked up the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series in middle school.
All Star – Smash Mouth
What is your favorite genre?
I don’t know if I have a favorite genre, but I do love the endorphin high a really good Romance book gives my brain.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Deep Blue Something
What’s your go-to reading snack/drink?
I honestly don’t think I snack much when I read. It like, breaks my reading pace/focus/flow. I always have water on hand though and all snacks are good snacks.
Give It Away – Red Hot Chili Peppers
What book do you ALWAYS recommend to people?
I feel like I am always randomly shoving The Hating Game by Sally Thorne down people’s throats? In real life but also on this blog. Due to my review for it bringing in people from all over the internet. (We have no idea why it gets so much traction.)
…Baby One More Time – Britney Spears
A book or series you have read more than once?
Uhhh. I’ve read the Folk of the Air series 5 times now, and I’m contemplating going in for a 6th. I love me some scheming I guess.
Tearin’ Up My Heart – N’Sync
A book that broke your heart to finish?
It hasn’t happened yet, I’m pretty sure when I read the final installment of the Heartstopper graphic novels, it’s going to wrench my heart in two. Saying goodbye to Nick & Charlie is going to be rough. BUT IT’S FINE I GUESS. (Check out my review of volumes 1-3 here.)
Smells Like Teen Spirit – Nirvana
A book that you read as a teen that you still love today?
Amy & Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson! Mostly because it introduced me to Morgan Matson as an author and turned me into a fan for years to come. But also because it’s a really cute book, and was possibly my first roadtrip-trope read.
Hurt – Nine Inch Nails
What book do you love that deals with heavier subjects?
It’s Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini really made an impact on me when I read it (during a not great time in my life).
Thanks for reading!
xoxo, Bree
