BOOK HAUL: Independent Bookstore Day

We love to support independent bookstores here at Words About Words, and the last weekend of April was apparently my time to shine and contribute to the noble, bookish cause lol. Anyways, I found out about the Independent Bookstore Crawl (like a pub crawl but with independent bookstores instead!) through the Verbatim Books’ fire Instagram account and was immediately committed to trying for at least one day of three they were hosting! (Context: I don’t live in San Diego County, and that same weekend, I attended YallWest in Santa Monica.) Of the 11 possible stores that we could have visited, Quinn & I managed to hit 5 stops in our one day. Below are all the books we came home with!

(At the very bottom I also included other books I acquired in some relation to Independent Bookstore Day!)

San Diego Independent Bookstore Book Crawl

There was a $5 minimum purchase per stop to get the participation stamp, and my brain really went, “No, you’re going to spend $30 at each.” Oops. Anyways…books!!
