BOOK TAG: The Contemporary Romance Reader Tag

I came across this tag on Always Reading Romance see her post here. I wanted to do this tag since I had did The Historical Romance Reader Tag awhile ago.

What’s the first contemporary romance you remember reading?

I read a lot of books that border on contemporary fiction so I am not entirely sure, but I read and loved I’ve Got Your Number by Sophia Kinsella (a comfort reread!), but I count The Hating Game as my first contemporary romance read that got me into the romance genre as a whole. What’s the last contemporary romance you read?

I just finished Georgie, All Along by Kate Clayborn (releases January, 2023), but y’all…this book was amazing. I’ll have a review up at some point, but add it to your TBR TODAY!

Who are your favorite contemporary romance authors?

I love Talia Hibbert, Emily Henry, Ali Hazelwood, Denise Williams, Kate Clayborn, and probably a bunch more that I am forgetting. Some newer faves who only have one book out current are Falon Ballard and Courtney Kae.

What book do you recommend to a contemporary romance beginner?

I would suggest Book Lovers by Emily Henry. See my review here.

What are you favorite and least favorite contemporary romance tropes?

I tend not not like second chance romances, but honestly I’ll read anything if it is written well.

What are your favorite contemporary romance settings?

Again I’ll sort of read anything as long as it’s written well. Small town? Big City? Sign me up!

Okay this is a tough one! So I’m just going to just going to share my three faves from 2022 (so far). We got Georgie, All Along, Maggie Moves On, & Book Lovers.
