I love doing reading updates when I’m supposedly participating in readthons, because you can see how truly off my TBR I’ve gotten!! The chance of course-correction is always there, but very, very low. Anyways, here are all the non-TBR books I’ve been reading!

Currently Reading:
I’m currently reading The Fae Keeper by H.E. Edgmon, and while I am enjoying the continuation of the world/character/shenanigans from book one, The Witch King, I feel the plot is slower this time around and I find my brain wandering a bit. But this series reminds me of The Cruel Prince, but very queer and with magic!! MAGIC!! Could you craft a better combination than that?
Just Finished:
I finally caught up to the currently-airing updates of the Blue Period manga by Tsubasa Yamaguchi and am absolutely devastated. I binged 12 volumes in 2 weeks and now I don’t know what to do with myself. I feel like I’ve run full-force into a glass door…that I knew was coming? Anyways, I absolutely loved this manga about a high school student getting into art for the first time and falling head-over-heels into its world. It was really cool to learn so much about painting history/techniques/supplies/critiques through the main character’s eyes. I can’t wait for the next update to come out; so much more to learn!
Up Next:
I am planning on rereading Mistakes Were Made by Meryl Wilsner to celebrate its official release into the world this month! I received & reviewed it as an ARC long ago, because I am a rabid Meryl fan, but it only feels right to welcome Cassie and Erin into the world with a reread! I can’t wait to revisit all these big dumb idiots!!
