What was the last book you read?

Ain’t Burned All The Bright by Jason Reynolds & Jason Griffin

Did this book meet your expectations?

Since this book came highly revered & recommended by Tree herself, I was not surprised when it was amazing. The visuals alone are outstanding, but paired with Jason Reynold’s selective prose, it’s quite impactful and current.

Will you recommend this book to others?

Yes, 100%!! Honestly I can highly recommend Jason Reynolds just like in general, but also his books are good too!

What is your current read?

Wild and Wicked Things by Francesca May

Why did you pick this book?

Um, lesbian witches doing mischievous magic and gay shenanigans?? It really didn’t take much else to hook me. It was in my libro.fm cart before I knew it.

How much time do you think you’ll take to finish your current read?

Honestly I have no idea. I’ve been in a moderately big book slump since mid-October (I only read 2 books in Nov). So, no guarantees but I’m about 5% into this right now and very intrigued! (AKA hopefully soon!)

What genre would you like to read next?

I am a huge mood reader. So it will most likely be whatever next crosses my path that’s intriguing enough to finally pull me out of this book slump! I hope it’s good!!

What would you like to pick: a long read or a short read?

I feel like if I found another good manga or graphic novel series, I could fly through it at a rapid pace. (Any suggestion??) Nothing’s better than consuming an entire 15+ volume series in a few weeks (a matter of days)!
