New Year, Same BS. I was supposed to post a completely different thing today, but I didn’t get it all together in time. So, instead I present you all the amazing books I’ve been hooked on since the new year!

Currently Reading:
Okay, I am actually reading too many good books right now and trying to find time to read each of them is making me twitchy. Anyways. After a quick reread of Ninth House, I am deeply invested in Hell Bent. I can already tell I’m going to enjoy this book much more on the second read. It’s just too smart for me. Leigh also continues the trend of jumping around to different seasonal points, so I’m alway a little confused. (I did not use this cover above bc it’s not my favorite.) Next up, I’m also thoroughly invested in Stevie Bell’s return in Nine Liars!! I haven’t picked up a physical novel to read in so long but Maureen Johnson has me hooked. I don’t know if it’s the familiar characters, the interesting dual mystery, or if I really just miss London and this book is giving me relief, but I keep finding my hands twitching to pick it back up…well until Stevie does something dumb of course. Lastly, I am about halfway through listening to Gideon the Ninth with my partner and it has finally ticked both of our interests! The mystery is afoot and Gideon is a dolt (but I love her).
Just Finished:
AHHH! A new Elfhame novel! The Stolen Heir was pretty good (no Folk of the Air, of course), but that ending did leave me me with a critical need of the next book, The Prisoner’s Throne. I absolutely love Holly Black’s fairfolk and it was great to be back in that world again. I can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve for book two, but I hope we get a Jude & Cardan cameo, especially since it will be from Oak’s perspective this time.
Up Next:
I recently found out that Tee Franklin did another comic run for Harley Quinn: The Animated Series, but picking up immediately after season three this time. The fourth & final issue of the Legion of Bats just came out he other day, so it’s very likely I will be binging all four issues very soon.
